ScreenshotAI ("we," "our," or "us") provides these Terms of Service ("Terms") for our mobile application. By using ScreenshotAI, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ScreenshotAI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

ScreenshotAI is an iOS application that analyzes and organizes screenshots using artificial intelligence. The App provides features including:

  • AI-powered screenshot analysis and categorization
  • Text extraction and entity recognition
  • Screenshot organization and management tools
  • Export functionality for various formats
  • Usage metrics tracking

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
  • Not use the App to process content that violates applicable laws
  • Respect intellectual property rights of content in your screenshots
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures or usage limitations

Subscription and Payment Terms

The App may offer premium features through in-app purchases:

  • Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service
  • Subscription fees are charged through your Apple ID account
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of subscription periods

Data Processing and AI Analysis

  • AI Processing: Screenshots are analyzed using Google's Gemini 2.0 Flash model through Firebase Vertex AI
  • Analysis Results: Include categories, extracted text, entities, and summaries
  • Local Storage: Analysis results are stored locally on your device using SwiftData
  • Cloud Processing: Screenshots are temporarily processed in Google's secure cloud environment for AI analysis

We work with the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google)

  • Services: Analytics, Crashlytics, Vertex AI, App Check
  • Data shared: Usage analytics, crash reports, screenshots for AI analysis

Intellectual Property

The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

AI Analysis Accuracy

The App uses artificial intelligence to analyze screenshots. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI analysis results are provided for informational purposes only
  • Results may not always be completely accurate or complete
  • You should verify important information independently
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI analysis results

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • AI analysis results will be completely accurate
  • Any defects in the App will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
